{"id":1343,"date":"2019-01-28T08:37:17","date_gmt":"2019-01-28T08:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpzimmer.demonlabs.be\/?post_type=residencies&#038;p=1343"},"modified":"2019-04-07T19:32:32","modified_gmt":"2019-04-07T19:32:32","slug":"the-voice-of-a-city","status":"publish","type":"residencies","link":"https:\/\/wpzimmer-old.spot-digital.co\/en\/residencies\/the-voice-of-a-city\/","title":{"rendered":"The Voice of a City"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>The Voice of a City<\/em> is Nada Gambier\u2019s newest work developed in collaboration with Mark Etchells (UK) and Thomas Kasebacher (AT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since\n April 2017 they have travelled to several cities in Europe (Tbilisi, \nAthens, Kortrijk, Myn\u00e4m\u00e4ki, Bradiford, Lille, Armenti\u00e8res\u2026.) conducting \nconversations with local inhabitants around, among others, the topics of\n change and belonging. In wpZimmer they will be working on the \nperformance part of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performance will bring \ntogether different elements from the process with the aim of \nconstructing a negative space of it. Not negative as opposed to positive\n but negative as in the notion of a mark, a trace of something that has \nbeen. During their residency they will explore the performativity of the\n material collected and created so far and consider the after effects of\n going through their journey. What remains? What did they not see or \nhear? Which stories do they remember and want to share?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Which \nquestions remain?
