His poetry reaches for that \nwhich is \u2018beyond\u2019 language: a world long before or long past mankind, \nspeaking from beyond his own death\u2026 Every word is like a stone that can \nbe picked up and examined from multiple directions. Three performers \ntake a shot at it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several ambiguous and inward-looking \n\u2018inclemencies\u2019 also come into play. What extensions of meaning and \nimagination arise when these inclemencies converge with Celan\u2019s poems?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doesn\u2019t the dark of the sky testify to distant starlight that can never reach this world? <em>Matisklo<\/em> is an invitation to gaze at \u2018black stars\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>THREADSUNS<br>above the grayblack wastes<br><br>A tree-<br>high thought<br><br>grasps the light-tone: there are<br>still songs to sing beyond<br>mankind.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(P.
