{"id":1871,"date":"2019-02-04T12:40:09","date_gmt":"2019-02-04T12:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wpzimmer.demonlabs.be\/?post_type=residencies&#038;p=1871"},"modified":"2019-05-02T13:57:11","modified_gmt":"2019-05-02T13:57:11","slug":"traces","status":"publish","type":"residencies","link":"https:\/\/wpzimmer-old.spot-digital.co\/en\/residencies\/traces\/","title":{"rendered":"Traces"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cMaybe it is worth running the risks associated with  anthropomorphism (superstition, devinization of nature, romanticism)  because it, oddly enough, works against anthropocentrism: a chord is  stuck between person and a thing, and I am no longer above or outside a  nonhuman environment.\u201d<\/p><cite>Jane Bennett, <em>Vibrant Matter<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>During her residency at wpZimmer, R\u00f3sa \u00d3marsd\u00f3ttir will work on her new creation <em>Traces<\/em>,  together with Katie Vickers, Inga Huld H\u00e1konard\u00f3ttir, Tiran Willemse and Kinga Jaczewska, and along with musician Sveinbj\u00f6rn Thorarensen and  scenographer Ragna Ragnarsd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>R\u00f3sa and the group explore \ndifferent anthropomorphic practices through pagan rituals like \nwitchcraft and animism as means to relate to and affect their \nsurroundings. They build a scenography resembling different landscapes \nand explore how they can use these practices in order to influence the \nstate of the it and to give it anthropomorphic qualities.
