Meanwhile <\/em>is een (video) installatie voor zwevende sculpturen waar tussentijd – tijd zonder betekenis, nauwelijks te beschouwen als een verbindend weefsel tussen gedefinieerde tijden en gebeurtenissen – centraal staat. Transparante objecten verlichten zowel de voor het menselijk oog onzichtbare luchtstralen als de choreografie\u00ebn die tussen zichzelf als in relatie tot de kijker worden gecre\u00eberd, dit alles met een uiterste gevoeligheid voor beweging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met Meanwhile<\/em> vraagt Kinga zich af of een dergelijke belichting onze perceptie van tijd en ruimte kan be\u00efnvloeden. Het werk is ook een poging om die tussentijd – die naast de kloktijd bestaat – fysiek te maken met de taal van beweging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andere vragen die zich met dit onderzoek aandienden: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Hoe maak je die tussentijd toegankelijk voor de toeschouwer?
-Hoe kan de focus worden gelegd op deze “tussenliggende” zones zonder ze tot een belangrijke gebeurtenis te veranderen?
-Hoe kan men de toeschouwer de noodzaak ontnemen om de zaken te defini\u00ebren en te labelen en hun perceptie daarentegen te laten zweven met hun gedachten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit werk wordt gemaakt in zeer nauwe samenwerking met Rosemaier Allaert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
